Director of Retirement Plans

Jason Martin is a Wealth Advisor and Director of Retirement Plans at Bluespring Wealth Management, where he is responsible for the client experience, fiduciary governance, and delivery of the firm’s retirement plan consulting services. His goal is to simplify qualified retirement and non-qualified executive benefit plans, helping employers deliver effective, compliant programs that support both organizational objectives and employee participation.

With more than two decades of experience serving plan sponsors across small,
mid-market, and institutional plans, Jason works closely with retirement committees to establish and maintain prudent fiduciary processes aligned with ERISA and Department of Labor best practices. His approach emphasizes disciplined governance, clear documentation, and thoughtful oversight designed to improve participant outcomes while mitigating fiduciary risk.

Jason is responsible for the execution of Bluespring Wealth Management’s 3(38) discretionary investment oversight, with the goal of delivering investment fiduciary services that are consistent, transparent, and in alignment with committee expectations. He integrates investment committee engagement with the firm’s operations and service teams to support seamless execution, monitoring, and reporting within a unified fiduciary framework.

Jason earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University, with a concentration in mathematics and a minor in computer science. He holds the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®), Professional Plan Consultant (PPC®), Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), Certified Health Savings Adviser (CHSA®), and Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designations, maintains a FINRA Series 65 registration, and holds California Department of Insurance licenses for life, accident, and health insurance.

Beyond the retirement plan industry, Jason takes every opportunity to spend time with his wife and two sons. He enjoys fly fishing on local rivers, skiing, and camping, and values time spent with family and friends. He currently serves on the board of the Western Pension & Benefits Council and previously served as a trustee for the Elks organization and as a board member for the First Tee of Greater Sacramento.
